Bakamla RI Holds Maritime Air Operations Targeting Ships with Anomaly Behavior

Elitkita.com Bitung News --- In holding the 2023 Joint Patrol, elements of the Indonesian Bakamla Maritime Air Operation also took part in action. Under the leadership of Bakamla RI Maritime Air Operations Director Laksma Bakamla Ferdinand Roring, air patrols were also held in the territorial waters of Bitung, North Sulawesi, Friday (24/3/2023).

This time the air patrol prioritized reports on the discovery of ships that were considered anomalous by the Indonesian Bakamla Puskodal. From this data, the air patrol element goes directly to the point where the target ship is and performs aerial visualization. In addition, foreign fishing vessels and foreign warships are also the focus of monitoring in this patrol.

This air patrol is carried out to support the 2023 Joint Patrol which takes place at sea.

Close cooperation and coordination is carried out with related agencies. For example,

the Indonesian Air Force Base (Lanud), Indonesian Navy Air Base (Lanudal), and Marine and Fisheries Resources Monitoring (PSDKP).

These air patrols are carried out in tandem with joint patrols at sea. This is to support the 2023 Joint Patrol so that it can achieve its goal, namely the creation of security and safety in Indonesian waters.
